Pavers & tuff tiles
Concrete pavers and tuff tiles are precast paving units for outdoor floors such as driveways, car parks, footpaths and courtyards. They come in different colours, patterns and thicknesses, and when laid on a compacted base each unit can be lifted and replaced without breaking up the whole surface.
Where pavers & tuff tiles are used
- Driveways and car parking
- Footpaths, walkways and garden paths
- Courtyards, terraces and forecourts
- Society roads, factory yards and commercial entrances
Benefits
- Wide choice of colour and pattern for a finished look without extra coatings
- Individual units can be lifted for repairs or utility access
- Textured surface gives grip underfoot
- Made for outdoor sun and rain
How to choose
- Start with the traffic. Surfaces that cars drive or park on need a thicker, stronger unit than a garden path.
- Choose colour and pattern together. Order a little extra for cuts and breakage.
- Budget for the base. A compacted sub-base, bedding layer and edge restraint matter as much as the paver.
- Pair with curb stones so the edge holds the paving in place.

How thick should pavers be for a driveway?
Surfaces that carry cars need thicker pavers than walkways. Tell us the vehicles and traffic you expect and we will suggest from the thicknesses we make, then confirm with your contractor.
What is the difference between pavers and tuff tiles?
Both are precast concrete paving units. In everyday use, tuff tiles usually means heavy-duty concrete tiles made for outdoor floors, while pavers often refers to interlocking or patterned units. Send us your use and we will recommend the right one.
